a little about little ol’ me
I reside in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne: a hop, skip and a jump from beautiful Mt. Dandenong, and lush Yarra Valley — the latter known its superb vineyards and wonderful dairies. I am Mama to the most beautiful and happiest 5-month-old baby girl in the world. I have an Advanced Certificate in Arts (Design) and a Bachelor degree in Graphic Design. I stumbled into the magazine publishing industry upon graduation, and found my calling. I love finding time in life for the simple pleasures: sharing fresh produce and delicious food, enjoying the sunshine, and making things. I long for a bigger patch to call my home, complete with a large studio to lose myself in.

a bloggin' journey
I am constantly reading blogs by some very talented individuals and so I feel it necessary to add the following disclaimer: I am not an expert on anything — I am bumbling my way through the land of crafty goodness, learning as I go. My only goal is to love what I do and enjoy doing it — and I hope you enjoy the ride with me!

what’s in a name?
Sadly, no — “For the love of George” is not a homage to George Harrison, though I have a fairly impressive Beatles collection. No, 'George' is what hubby and I called our little bean in utero, before we knew our 'George' to be a 'Georgina'. Funny, I really thought the name would stick, but I haven't slipped up once.
