Two Hydrangea's, and cropped out of the shot, Liriope in front

I had a backyard makeover team (aka Mum and Dad) here this week. They weeded, planted, trimmed, mulched and fertilised. And I made cups of tea and cheese and bikkie platters. What a difference their work has made! I'm looking forward to my new plants maturing in the spring sunshine, and enjoying the space with the little one. However, I'm not enjoying the puppies walking the tanbark all through the house — will need to whip out that dust-buster. For those green thumbs out there, this is what we chose:

• Hydrangea
• Liriope muscari 'Joy Mist'
• Leptospermum 'Kiwi'
• Fuchsia 'Firecracker'
• Brachyscome
• Camellia Japonica

And have two Clivia's yet to come (they're insanely expensive at Bunnings, Mum's going to get them from a market instead).

Lauren - thanks for your comment. I've been checking in here constantly for news - I have an inkling maybe things are happening now? I hope so. I'm 1 day over now, aaargh, it's such a weird feeling knowing anything could happen at any moment! I'm scared to go out - what if my waters break in a trendy café?!
