I know I've been a wee bit slow on the posts lately, but I'm hoping you'll forgive me — I think I've got a pretty good reason… I've been busy being pregnant! Yup, that's right, I'm up the duff, have a bun in the oven, eating for two. I'm 18 weeks along now, and starting to get a bit more pep in my step (the couch and I became really well acquainted in the first three months). The nausea has mostly ceased, but the restless nights have begun (oh how I miss sleeping on my tummy!).
Before conception, we dreamed of having a little bub to call our own — and we nicknamed him 'George'. Yes, that's why this blog is called 'For the love of George'! Why George? Because we'll love him, and hug him, and call him George…

We've got our 20 week scan coming up soon, and I am super keen to see my little bean again. I wish I could see my sweet one every day, bobbing around, waving and kicking. We've decided to ask the technician to write down the sex of our bub and pop it in an envelope for us… kind of like a back-up plan in case I have a mental 'I need to know!' moment in the months to come.
No doubt I'll keep you updated with our progress over the coming months, with nursery decorations and the like. Craft has taken a back seat, unfortunately (you should see the length of my 'to do' list), but hopefully I'll have the time and energy to make a couple special things for my little pumpkin before he/she arrives.
