Well, Amitie have done it again. I was determined to never buy a quilt kit again, but their display at the Australasian Quilt Convention had me swooning. It’s a miracle that I came home with just the one kit, really. Ok, so the level of dag at the AQC is extreme. But that’s ok — I understand they’ve got a very loyal demographic (read: old and daggy grannies) to serve. In amongst there is some absolute gold: Amitie and Patchwork on Central Park. I also eyed off the reasonably priced (but still horribly expensive) quilting frames. Little did I know at the time, but hubby was simultaneously eyeing off a grand piano at our local music shop… thankfully for our bank account, he came home empty-handed (but is now keen as mustard to find a new home big enough to house said piano — yaye! My dream studio is one step closer to reality!). Darcy also had a busy weekend. After unravelling a ball of merino wool and spreading it around the living room, he even found time to put a hole in my new jumper. Can’t help but love him, the little rat-bag… I’m going to make myself a soy chai latte — bye!…
