Since mid-last year, I have had the pleasure of working with Tourism Victoria to produce several 24-page advertising inserts. This first insert appeared in The Adelaide Magazine and QWeekend Magazine in October 2009. My contact at Tourism Victoria, the lovely Emily, has been wonderful to work with, and I think we have achieved a great result.
The above image is the cover — sadly, the roses illustration was not done by me. But it fit the brief perfectly: roses are not only synonymous with the season of spring, but the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival, which was featured in this insert. The teal colour was used throughout the Tourism Victoria Spring campaign.
I also find it very satisfying to help promote something that I am so passionate about: the city and surrounds in which I live. I hope the relationship between Tourism Victoria and News Magazines is a long one. Please note that the artwork is copyrighted and cannot be reproduced.
